Food as a Responsibility
Ayukrit emerged during the COVID era, when fragile health systems, compromised nutrition, and unethical food practices became impossible to ignore. It became clear that food could no longer be treated as a commodity—it had to be treated as a responsibility.
Ayukrit exists because:
- Health was weakened by adulteration and over-processing
- Ethical farmers were sidelined, despite being the true custodians of nutrition
- Sustainability was sacrificed for convenience and speed
- Consumers were left confused, disconnected from food origins
We chose a different path—working directly with ethical farmers across India, honouring traditional methods like bilona where relevant, applying modern testing for safety and purity, and maintaining transparency at every step.
